Graduation
Ceremony
The 2024 graduation ceremony will be held at the Carolina Theatre of Durham on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 5:00pm. The Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering will host the friends and families of our 2024 graduates. This is an exciting opportunity for our faculty, staff and students hosted at both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and NC State University to come together to celebrate their joint accomplishments across our department.
Each graduating student will be given four tickets for their friends and family to attend.
Photos
Photos taken by Photo Specialties of each graduate will be available a couple of weeks after the ceremony, and samples are provided directly to the individual by Photo Specialties.

Carolina Theatre is almost 100 years old and has a rich history in the performing arts. Historical information about the venue is provided here.
Parking
The Durham Center Parking Garage is located at 300 W Morgan St, Durham, NC 27701, across the street from the Carolina Theatre of Durham. The garage is run by the City of Durham. The city will have an employee at the entrance taking payments of $7/vehicle to enter starting at 3:30 PM. You may pay with cash or card. The city employee will give you a ticket of receipt that can be used if the gate happens to be down when you leave.
