Bio

Matt is a biomedical engineer with over a decade of experience in the medical device industry and has ten issued patents. He has direct experience in developing fluid and drug delivery devices, ophthalmic and orthopedic implants, and surgical instrumentation, including nearly nine years spent leading advanced development teams working in surgical robotics.

Matt is passionate about improving patient outcomes and clinician satisfaction through detailed needs exploration, innovation and prototype development. He has been the lead engineer in four medical device startups and really enjoys mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs in the MS-TraIn program.
