NC State University does not hand out accolades such as the World Changer Award lightly. It is with great pleasure, then, that BME announces that our own Dr. Jacque Cole has received this prestigious award from the University’s College of Engineering. Jacque was nominated for her work on K-12 outreach, specifically with National Biomechanics Day and the Engineering Bits & Bytes Days, by Dr. Laura Bottomley and her staff at The Engineering Place. You can read more about the incredible National Biomechanics Day program here.

Dr. Cole’s lab also won first place in the Biomechanics in Art competition co-hosted by the Sanford Sports Science Institute and National Biomechanics Day! The image was primarily the work of undergrad researcher Maggie Tamburro and lab manager Stephanie Teeter.

Fantastic work, Jacque, and congratulations to you and your lab!
