Each year, the National Inventors Hall of Fame holds scientific summer camps for students K-6 who are enthusiastic about innovation. This year’s favorite project seems to be the “Optibot” robot project, expressly labeled by the NIHF as having been inspired by Fran Ligler’s work on optical biosensors. The Optibot will follow paths laid out by the students using optical sensor technology, giving them a chance to get hands-on experience.
Fran explains the project in more detail in an NIFH Education video found here.
