Stephanie Teeter, a ten-year staff veteran of the Department, was honored yesterday with an Award for Excellence given by the College of Engineering at NC State. In a ceremony emceed by Engineering Dean Louis Martin-Vega, Stephanie was recognized for her unrivaled dedication to public service. This service includes volunteering extensively with STEM organizations such as the Science House at NC State, the Marbles Children’s Museum, and The Daniels Center for Math and Science. Stephanie also works outside of the scientific community, having been a member of the Raleigh Jaycees, a community service and leadership organization, for the last three years. She has also been involved with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation for at least ten years, where in 2016 she helped to organize and run one of the country’s largest events–bringing in over $200,000 to fund innovative childhood cancer research. Congratulations, Stephanie, and thank you for making such a positive impact in our community!
