Dr. Elizbeth Loboa, core faculty in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering, has had her various efforts in Regenerative Medicine recently reported in multiple news outlets. Bob Buckley at Greensboro North Carolina television station WGHP did a story on her anti-bacterial/wound healing bandage technology. Following this, Dr. Loboa was asked to share her thoughts about regenerative medicine and stem cell research on MDTV, an outlet of Medical News Now. Dr. Loboa’s expertise in this field was also recently recognized by the NC TraCS Institute, Home of the UNC-CH Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA), with a TraCS 4D grant award for her collaborative project entitled “Neural Stem Cell Mediated Brain Tumor Therapy: Increased efficacy with electrospun nanofiber scaffolds.”
