BME’s Senior Design Program featured in Raleigh’s News & Observer

On September 9, 2013 the Raleigh, NC based “News & Observer” published an article by Laura Baverman titled “NC State leads biomed innovation.” The article describes how the Joint Department’s innovative senior design program, under the mentorship of Core Faculty member Andrew DiMeo, trains BME students to identify unmet needs in local hospitals and then spend two semesters designing and building medical devices to meet those needs.
