Two TraCS-supported start-ups founded by BME faculty, Aerem Innovations and AnelleO, will present at Innovation Showcase hosted by Innovate Carolina next April 14, during the Pitch Room and Live Venture Q&A session at 5 p.m.

Aerem Innovations’ founder Devin Hubbard, BME Teaching associate professor, has designed a mask frame to improve the safety, comfort and fit of existing face masks. AnelleO founder, BME Professor Rahima Benhabbour, has developed a 3D printed intravaginal ring, which is the first single administration of progesterone for infertility.

There will be six different pitch rooms featuring 30 faculty researchers, student innovators, and local entrepreneurs presenting the ventures and research projects selected by Innovate Carolina from among the top innovations at UNC-Chapel Hill and the local community.
