Jake Rose

Bio

Hi! My name is Jake Rose, and I am a Junior at UNC. I’m from Wilmington, NC and am interested in the applications of additive manufacturing in the medical field, specifically in orthopedics and prosthetics. I am involved in the UNC Helping Hand Project (HHP) as Vice President, the HHP nonprofit board as Director of Technical Development, Carolina Adapts Toys for Children (CATCH) as Chief Technical Officer and Engineering World Health (EWH) as Design Chair. I have also completed internships with TrackX, a medical device company that uses 3D printing to develop a visual instrument tracking tool for operating rooms, and with Handspring, a prosthetics clinic specializing in 3D-designed and printed prosthetics.
