This Fall semester seven BME students were inducted into Alpha of North Carolina Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa: Justin David Boyd, Jennifer Sue Cochand, Callum James Funk, Shureed Deepro Qazi, Ananya Tandri, Bryson Wicker, and Jia Chun Xie. Phi Beta Kappa is one of the most prestigious honors a student can receive, as the chapter selects only the top 10 percent of their arts and sciences graduates. To qualify for membership, a UNC student must complete 75 hours of coursework in liberal arts and sciences with a minimum 3.85 GPA in that coursework. The induction ceremony will be held later this month via webinar. For more information, you can visit the UNC-CH Phi Beta Kappa website here.
