The Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory (NREL) investigates the control mechanism of the neuromuscular system in normal and neurologically disordered persons, develops advanced neural-machine interfacing technologies and applies these techniques to neural control of prosthetics, orthotics, computers and other assistive devices.
