Bio

“The most fulfilling professional experiences stem from being able to work on hard problems and to do it with smart, talented people.”

As a serial inventor, I have enjoyed working in academia, industry and government labs. More than my patents, papers and commercial products, I am proud of what my >60 postdocs have accomplished.

Research Interests

Engineering complex systems to solve problems
Integration of microfluidics, biochemistry, tissue regeneration, electronics and optical sensors
