This year’s BME Research Retreat will present work by core, affiliated and collaborating faculty and students from across the two universities. The morning sessions will feature a history of BME at UNC Chapel Hill and NC State, current updates on the department, and for the first time, a session with members of the department’s Industry Advisory Board. The afternoon sessions include discussions of new ABET requirements, new research directions, and ways to communicate our science. The afternoon will finish with a poster session showing off the latest research in the department. It is also a unique opportunity for faculty, students and postdocs to engage with each other and have fun. We truly hope you can join us.
Post docs, Graduate students, and Undergraduate students are encouraged to submit a poster. The poster session will be an informal viewing, during which the attendees will circulate among the posters and discuss research with the poster presenters. This year we are again accepting all posters, however poster title submission forms are due by Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 5:00 pm.
New students will find this to be a great opportunity to see the research covered by our core and affiliated faculty and, for those of you not aligned with a laboratory, should help in identifying a research advisor or focusing your research interests.
