Aryssa Simpson, a first-year BME graduate student in the lab of Assistant Professor Ashley Brown, has been awarded a Witherspoon Graduate Fellowship. This year, there were 23 nominations, and only 7 graduate students selected by representatives from both the Black Alumni Society and the Graduate School.
Funded through an endowment given to NC State University, this $2,000 award is offered to those who have demonstrated experience in or a commitment to supporting Black communities within and beyond NC State’s campus. Congratulations on receiving this recognition Aryssa!
