Today BME Professor Koji Sode was inducted into the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. It was announced back on December 11th that our own Dr. Koji Sode was elected to the rank of 2018 Fellow in the National Academy of Inventors. After a self-described “record number of nominations” to last year’s NAI Fellows Selection Committee, the NAI chose Dr. Sode for his “outstanding inventions that have made a tangible impact on the quality of life, economic development, and welfare of society.” Per the NAI press release, election to NAI Fellow status is the highest professional distinction accorded to academic inventors.
