Nancy joined the department of biomedical engineering at Benhabbour lab in 2021. She graduated with BSc. in Pharmacy and MSc. in Nanotechnology from American University in Cairo, Egypt. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Liverpool, UK in 2021. Her Ph.D. research focuses on synthesising stimuli-responsive nanocarriers for oral drug delivery. Nancy is currently developing a long-term implant for HIV treatment. Her long-term research goal is to facilitate the translation of nanoparticle-based therapeutics from the lab to the clinic.
