“Our undergraduate program is a truly unique one where students have full rights and privileges at two major research universities.”
Lianne Cartee is a Teaching Professor and Director of the Undergraduate Program in the Lampe Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina and North Carolina State University. The joint undergraduate program is a unique program where approximately 500 students have full student status at two major research universities. Lianne’s work to develop the Joint Program and the concept of the 3D engineer have been nominated for the National Academy of Engineers’ Gordan Prize for innovation in Engineering Education. She is a member of the NC State Academy of Outstanding Teachers and has received numerous awards for outstanding teaching and mentoring.
