Bio

In the classroom, Dr. Hubbard focuses on using interactive and active methods for teaching innovation and design using clinical immersion and a quality system. The goal is to provide a thought-provoking and immersive experience for students that prepares them for a future career in Biomedical Engineering. In the lab, he focuses on hardware and software design for dermal wound assessment in a variety of clinical settings. The primary focus is using color and feature recognition in both 2D and 3D to create quantitative assessments of dermal wounds in clinical settings. The goal of their research is to assist clinicians in both high and low-resource settings in obtaining quantitative assessments of wounds to help provide personalized care to each patient.
