Bio

The goal of the Hand Rehabilitation Laboratory is to improve upper extremity function, especially for the hand, in cases of injury or disease. Toward that end, we are pursuing three tracks: examination and modeling of hand neuromechanics, identification of impairment mechanisms and application of this knowledge to the development of interventions to improve rehabilitation. These interventions incorporate soft robotics, virtual reality and pharmaceutical agents.
