In April, BME Assistant Professor Yevgeny Brudno received both the NC State Outstanding Teacher Award and the Alumni Outstanding Teacher Award from the Alumni Association. The Outstanding Teacher Award recognizes excellence in teaching at all levels. Recipients of the Outstanding Teacher Award become members of the Academy of Outstanding Teachers for as long as they remain NC State faculty.
On the other hand, each spring, the Alumni Association recognizes six to eight of the faculty being inducted into the NC State Academy of Outstanding Teachers. The honoree receives a $1,000 stipend. Many congratulations to Prof Brudno on receiving the NC State Outstanding Teacher Award, as well as one of this year’s Alumni Association’s Faculty Awards.
