BME’s Lampe Distinguished Professor Frances Ligler and her husband George Ligler, Dean’s Eminent Professor of the Practice in Biomedical Engineering at UNC/ NCSU Joint Department were photographed last May 2nd at the Greatest Celebration of American Innovation held annually in the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Frances Ligler, who was inducted in 2017 into the National Inventors Hall of Fame, is sitting to the right at the 2019 Induction Ceremony, with one of this year’s inductees Rebecca Richards-Kortum, who is standing first to the right.
Hosted in partnership with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as sponsors, the Induction Event is a celebration of the world’s foremost inventors.
