BME graduate student Emily Mihalko has started the year off with a bang: she has been named as a 2018 NC State GAANN Moluecular Biotechnology Fellow! This prestigious fellowship is provided through the Graduate School by the U.S. Department of Education Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) Program. Fellowship selection is based upon a student’s outstanding academic record, their demonstrated interest in molecular biotechnology, and upon a stellar recommendation from their academic department. Emily’s work ethic and positive attitude is known throughout the department, and this honor certainly reflects that sentiment.

Way to go, Emily! We can’t wait to see what you achieve through this program.
