Dr. Ke Cheng’s latest work on targeted heart repair has been featured in the NC State News Bulletin. The article, ‘Decorated’ Stem Cells Could Offer Targeted Heart Repair, discusses how Cheng’s “decoration” of cardiac stem cells with platelet nanovesicles can increase the stem cells’ ability to find and remain at the site of heart attack injury, therefore enhancing their effectiveness in treatment. The research was aided by Drs. Ashley Brown and Zhen Gu.
