The Controlled Release Society (CRS) has chosen Dr. Zhen Gu as the recipient of this year’s Young Investigator Award. This award recognizes a CRS member who has made outstanding contributions in the science of controlled release, and is 40 years of age or younger in the year the award is presented. Dr. Gu studies controlled drug delivery and bio-inspired materials, particularly for treating cancer and diabetes, and has been featured by several prominent groups and publications as a result of his outstanding work.
