BME graduate student Timothy Holder has been awarded a 2017 Richard Bland Fellowship by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Graduate School. This fellowship provides financial support that allows Timothy to undertake a professional internship during the summer, in pursuit of a non-faculty career path. His chosen company, The Medical Innovators Collaborative (MEDIC), is a non-profit that brings student, professor, physician, and industry partner projects to commercialization. Timothy intends to work with marketing and strategy development, where he will learn what it takes to grow a great idea to a viable commercial product in the medical industry. Congratulations and best of luck, Timothy!
