The Department has once again been featured by a major educational institution – this time, by the University System of North Carolina. The feature, found on the system’s webpage, talks in detail about how the marriage between UNC’s top-ranked medical school and NC State’s blockbuster engineering school has created a first-of-its-kind opportunity for students and faculty alike. Having full access to facilities at both locations has allowed for a flurry of innovation and collaboration, all while keeping a focus on patient-centered outcomes. The arrangement has been so successful that universities from across the nation are seeking our advice on how to implement their own joint programs.
