At the University level, an Award for Excellence is the most prestigious honor given to non-faculty employees. The award is given to an employee at NC State who has performed services or made accomplishments of such outstanding merit as to justify special recognition. In making its decision, the selection committee pays particular attention to major contributions that reflect credit on the nominee and the individual’s service to NC State.
